Application of non-parametric approaches to identify trends in streamflow for the Mae Klong River Basin, Thailand

چکیده

Abstract Mean monthly streamflow records of ten gauging stations in the Mae Klong River Basin, Thailand, were analyzed for trends using non-parametric approaches period 2000–2015. The statistical significance was tested on monthly, seasonal, and annual scales three tests; Mann–Kendall (MK), Spearman's rho (SR), innovative trend analysis (ITA) a 5% level. grouped into two categories: naturalized (four stations) regulated (six stations). In both dry wet seasons, decreasing observed inflows to Srinagarind Vajiralongkorn Dams. On an basis, all showed trends. For stations, season, four out six increasing trends, while five indicated by MK SR tests, ITA method stations. results this study can help water resources managers better assessment planning basin.

Recent trends in precipitation and streamflow in the Aconcagua River Basin

In this paper, trends in streamflow and precipitation at the annual, seasonal and monthly timescales for different periods of records are analysed for the Aconcagua River Basin in central Chile. In this mountainous basin in the dry Andes water resources originate mainly from glaciers and seasonal snowcovers. The Mann-Kendall nonparametric test is used, and statistically significant trends are i...

Updated streamflow reconstructions for the Upper Colorado River Basin

[1] Updated proxy reconstructions of water year (October–September) streamflow for four key gauges in the Upper Colorado River Basin were generated using an expanded tree ring network and longer calibration records than in previous efforts. Reconstructed gauges include the Green River at Green River, Utah; Colorado near Cisco, Utah; San Juan near Bluff, Utah; and Colorado at Lees Ferry, Arizona...

Analysis of Streamflow Changes under Climate Change Using Rainfall-Runoff Model in the Kor River Basin

Abstract In this study, the predicted monthly temperature and rainfall data from HadCM3 model (base period, ۱۹۷۲-۲۰۰۱) and next period (۲۰۱۱-۲۰۴۰) under A2emission scenario were used to investigate the impacts of climate change on runoff variations in the Kor river basin. HadCM3 model output was downscaled based on a temporal downscaling approach (Change Factor) and spatial downscaling appro...

Analyzing streamflow changes: irrigation-enhanced interaction between aquifer and streamflow in the Republican River basin

Groundwater-fed irrigation has altered surface and groundwater interactions in the Republic River basin (RRB) in the midwestern United States, where agriculture heavily depends on irrigation. The decreasing flow trend recorded at the RRB gauging station since the 1950s reflects the synthetical effect of dynamic interactions between surface water and groundwater systems, which has been enhanced ...

Investigation of climate change impacts on streamflow regime of a river Arazkooseh River Basin

In this research, impacts of climate change on the streamflow hydrological status of the Arazkooseh River are discussed. After Calibration and validation of the LARS-WG, HadCM3 was downscaled under A2 Scenario in three climatology station. Beside, calibration and validation of the SWAT model were done by observed data relative to past period of times. Streamflow values are then predicted using ...
